Featured in this picture are two legendary pieces of Marine Corps history: our USMC M274 A5 Mule and the M422 Mighty Mite. Built for mobility and toughness, these compact machines were designed to go where larger vehicles could not—through rough ground, narrow trails, and the unforgiving terrain of war.
The Mule was a workhorse, hauling ammunition, supplies, and wounded troops where they were needed most. The Mighty Mite, lightweight and air-transportable, gave Marines a fast and versatile vehicle built for expeditionary operations.
