December 25, 2025
Ghosts of the Battlefield welcomed the holiday season with an Open House Christmas Party that blended festive cheer with living history. Friends, supporters, and first-time visitors alike gathered inside the museum to celebrate the season surrounded by artifacts and stories that span generations of service.
Guests were invited not only to explore the museum and ask questions, but to truly feel at home. Visitors were encouraged to mingle, share stories, and take part in a unique smorgasbord inspired by foods popular during World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War era. From classic wartime staples to familiar comfort foods, the menu itself became part of the historical experience—complete with fried Spam and the ever-memorable jungle juice.
The evening was a reminder that history is best preserved when it is shared. Laughter echoed through the galleries, conversations flowed easily, and new connections were made between generations brought together by curiosity and respect for the past.
To everyone who joined us—thank you. Your presence helps keep these stories alive and ensures that the legacy of those who served continues to be remembered, honored, and passed on, even during the warmth and joy of the holiday season.
